DTS is looking for Senior DevSecOps Architect for our direct client Position in Dimondale, MI .

Job Description:

The Senior DevSecOps Architect serves as a strategic and technical leader within the Secure Application Development Lifecycle program, driving securebydesign practices, modernizing application security capabilities, and advancing enterprise DevSecOps maturity. This role provides architectural direction, coaching, and crossdomain collaboration to embed security throughout development, deployment, and operations. The architect influences strategy, accelerates adoption of automated security tooling, and ensures alignment with enterprise frameworks and client security mandates.

• Establish secure-by-design target architectures for application security testing platforms.
• Serve as a senior consultant and SME to leadership, shaping vision, scope, and strategy for major security and DevSecOps initiatives.
• Guide project teams in implementing security architecture frameworks, secure SDLC practices, and DevSecOps automation.
• Evaluate and recommend best-fit technologies through research, vendor engagement, and alignment with enterprise standards and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on technology validation and initiate required governance processes (Solution Assessments, ISRs, etc.).
• Promote emerging cybersecurity and DevSecOps best practices, automation, tooling, and standards across the enterprise.
• Author security requirements, architecture specifications, and dependencies supporting secure design and modernization efforts.
• Produce and maintain design artifacts and architectural documents (functional, system, security architecture, whitepapers, guidance, best practices).
• Perform security architecture reviews for new systems, platforms, integrations, and cloud or on-prem solutions.
• Define and validate application, platform, and infrastructure security/assurance requirements.
• Identify and articulate critical architectural elements needing further definition or refinement.
• Participate as a security representative in project planning, estimation, and delivery workflows.
• Provide estimates and architectural guidance based on experience with enterprise security implementations.
• Leverage broad technical knowledge to develop scalable architectural patterns and standards applicable enterprisewide.
• Operate within SUITE methodology and ensure alignment with statewide IT governance.
• Provide expert support in applying and maintaining security controls (NIST 800, CIS, etc.) and enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
• Integrate secure database architecture and data protection practices into engineering designs, including encryption, classification models, secure query patterns, and automated compliance controls.
• Provide architectural oversight for network and perimeter security, ensuring firewall rules, segmentation strategies, and access pathways align with zero-trust and enterprise governance.
• Guide secure adoption and governance of Microsoft Power Platform solutions, defining guardrails for connectors, DLP policies, environment segmentation, and enterprise governance models.
