Data Consultant ( Workshop Experience)

Role: Data Consultant

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 240 Hrs. Contract

Scope : - Workshop facilitation support — this person captures use cases live during the Data & AI Products Definition workshop (Workshop 2) and drafts the governance framework live during the Data Governance Framework workshop(Workshop 4), so strong real-time notetaking/synthesis under time pressure is essential.

- Business analysis / requirements elicitation — supports Phase 1 stakeholder interviews and helps document current-state pain points across architecture, reporting, and operating model.

-Technical writing and documentation — turns workshop discussion into structured deliverables (the prioritized data/AI product candidate list, the draft SAS Data Governance Framework document).

-Working knowledge of data governance concepts — ownership models, stewardship, metadata management — enough to actively shape the governance framework, not just transcribe it.

-Working knowledge of data product / AI enablement concepts — feature stores, data product definition patterns — enough to help business stakeholders frame their use cases as reusable data products rather than one-off reports.

-Business-to-technical translation — this role is the bridge between business-unit stakeholders and the Data Architect/Engagement Lead, so comfort in both rooms matters more than deep Snowflake expertise.

Skills - Must Have

SQL, ETL/ELT, data modelling, Snowflake/Databricks, cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), Python, dbt/Airflow, requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, use cases, client communication, workshop facilitation, problem-solving.
