Senior Software Engineer

Our client, a leading entity in the automotive sector, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Banbury, UK. This role involves the continuous delivery of in-house software, prioritising requirements within the wider Performance Group to ensure agile delivery of high-quality software across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote teamwork and effective communications across all departments.<br />Use a range of .Net technologies to develop modern database, service layer, and client application solutions.<br />Conduct code reviews and provide coaching to software team members.<br />Prioritise requirements in collaboration with the Head of Software Engineering.<br />Ensure project delivery is on schedule, reporting any challenges or potential delays.<br />Mentor and contribute to the development of engineers within the Software Group.<br />Integrate with third party vendors as required.<br />Propose and maintain an evolving software architecture for long-term progress.<br />Ensure code clarity and simplicity for robustness and maintainability.<br />Collaborate with IT to enhance version control, continuous integration, and testing processes.<br />Improve the DevOps environment to increase the delivery rate of high-quality products.<br />Keep abreast of new techniques, languages, and tools as required.<br />Respond promptly to user support requests according to priority.<br />Provide race support on a rotational basis.<br />Adhere to all engineering and business processes, as well as safety regulations. Requirements:

Experience in developing complex data management and database storage solutions.<br />Experience with .Net technologies and associated languages.<br />Required skills: C#, .NET, WPF, and SQL.<br />Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, Blazor would be advantageous.<br />Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.<br />High standard of work in stressful and time-sensitive situations.<br />Ability to work well in a team environment at all personnel levels.<br />Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another STEM field with substantial experience in software development.
