The role leads the design, governance and delivery of the firm's reward and benefits framework across a multi-jurisdictional European footprint, combining strategic reward design with hands-on delivery to ensure the offering remains market-competitive and regulatory-compliant.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the firm's compensation and benefits strategy across all jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with talent, retention and pay philosophy
  • Own the annual compensation review cycle, including salary review guidance and bonus pool allocation support, in partnership with Finance and senior leadership
  • Lead multi-jurisdictional reward projects, including pension contribution reviews across several European markets, ensuring consistent governance and implementation
  • Own the design, procurement and ongoing management of employee benefits programmes (pensions, healthcare, life assurance, wellbeing and family-building benefits)
  • Manage relationships with benefits brokers, insurers and pension providers, running periodic market reviews and renewals
  • Ensure compensation structures and processes comply with relevant remuneration codes across jurisdictions, partnering with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Tax
  • Lead participation in market benchmarking surveys and provide data-driven recommendations on pay positioning, role levelling and total reward competitiveness
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the wider HR team on reward matters, including compensation structuring for senior hires
  • Line-manage and develop compensation and benefits team resource, driving process efficiency and digitisation of reward administration

Role Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in compensation & benefits, reward or total reward roles, within financial services, ideally private equity
  • Proven experience designing and managing multi-jurisdictional reward and benefits programmes across European markets
  • Strong working knowledge of pensions across multiple European frameworks
  • Experience operating within a regulated environment is highly desirable
  • CIPD and/or a reward-specific qualification (e.g. GRP or CCP) is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, practical recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with senior leadership and governance committees
  • Strong project management skills, able to lead multi-workstream projects to tight deadlines
