Lead Firewall Engineer | Oxon Hill, MD, United States | On-site | $131,300.00 - $237,350.00 This employer is a trusted leader in digital modernization, known for providing cutting-edge IT solutions and services to government agencies. The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to ensure infrastructure integrity. • Conduct system audits to verify compliance with relevant standards and regulations. • Serve as a people leader, guiding personnel, managing task delivery, and providing performance assessments and coaching. • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and Security teams to integrate robust firewall solutions. What You'll Need • BS degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent military/work experience. • Minimum of 3 years of Firewall experience within a DoD environment. • Demonstrated advanced experience managing baseline configurations across numerous firewalls and evaluating rules for optimal security. • Experience researching and implementing new firewall technologies. • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification are required prior to start.
