Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Services Specialist to join our Global Markets Equities team. The candidate will support trading applications and platform stability with strong experience in application support across distributed environments, monitoring tooling, and incident and problem management. The candidate will drive root cause analysis, preventative actions, and effective stakeholder communication across a global support model.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-user and platform support for Global Markets Equities trading applications, ensuring stability and resiliency across services.


• Lead incident and problem management, including triage, root cause analysis, and follow-up remediation.


• Manage application monitoring, capacity and availability, operational readiness, and production governance.


• Serve as gatekeeper for production change, coordinating change management, release and deployment activities, and configuration management.


• Onboard new applications and integrate with monitoring, alerting, and runbook procedures.


• Monitor application performance using tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, and Dynatrace, and drive proactive improvements.


• Create and manage incident tickets, communicate status to stakeholders, and coordinate with development and business operations teams.


• Maintain service analytics, metrics, and reporting to improve operational efficiency and reliability.


• Engage with vendors and infrastructure partners to resolve technical issues and optimize services.


• Consult with end users to determine optimal configurations and service alternatives that enhance the production environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on application support or development experience for critical trading platforms in a global team environment.


• Proficiency with distributed platforms: Windows, UNIX, Linux, and SQL/PLSQL, including intermediate queries, joins, and aggregations.


• Strong incident triage skills and ability to resolve production outages under tight timelines with RCA and problem follow-up.


• Hands-on with monitoring tools: ITRS Geneos, Splunk, and Dynatrace.


• Programming and scripting: Python, Unix Shell, Java, and Perl.


• Knowledge of Equities asset class and trade processing flows within Global Markets.


• Understanding of ITIL and SDLC principles. ITIL certification is a plus.


• Experience coordinating across onshore/offshore support, business users, vendors, and infrastructure teams.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder-facing experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Automation and scheduling: Autosys, Ansible, XLR.


• Observability and dashboards: Grafana.


• Messaging and middleware: IBM WebSphere MQ, Tibco.


• Cloud and container platforms: IBM OpenShift and related cloud services.


• Jira for workflow and change tracking.
