Area Sales Manager

Territory: Northern UK
Company: Facade & Building Envelope Solutions
Area Sales Manager Salary: £60,000 £65,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus

The Role

  • As Area Sales Manager (North), you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and securing high-value project orders within your designated region.
  • Deliver Targets: Accountable for delivering sales and revenue targets within the designated area, in line with company objectives.
  • Build Sales Networks: Build and manage an effective sales network with a focus on subcontractors, installers and key delivery partners.
  • Grow Pipelines: Maintain relationships with main contractors, architects and developers to support project pipeline growth.
  • Convert Opportunities: Identify, develop and convert project opportunities, focusing on securing orders and maximizing win rates.
  • Develop Supply Chains: Develop strategic relationships across the supply chain to increase project access and drive sales conversion.
  • Manage Sales Cycles: Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, opportunity tracking, quotation, negotiation and deal closure.
  • Provide Technical Advice: Provide professional technical advice to customers to ensure competitive solutions and successful project delivery.
  • Maintain CRM Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM reporting on pipeline, customer activity, and secured projects, in line with company standards.
  • Link Internal Teams: Act as a communication link between customers and internal teams to support effective project execution and issue resolution.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing feedback and recommending actions to improve market position.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A commercially astute, technically minded Area Sales Manager with deep roots in the B2B construction sector.
  • Industry Expertise: Experienced seller of premium building materials, facade systems, architectural products, construction systems solutions or structural building envelopes.
  • Commercial Polish: Hands-on experience navigating high-value contract negotiations, channel/agent networks, and corporate credit control procedures.
  • Technical Advisory Skills: Ability to confidently interpret project plans, consult on technical layouts and deliver high-impact technical pitches to executive stakeholders.
  • Structured & Data-Driven: Highly organized with a disciplined approach to managing high-volume pipelines and logging activity data into CRM platforms.
  • Collaborative Nature: A strong team player skilled at managing internal cross-functional departments to resolve client issues and drive project delivery.
