Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Automation / Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining, improving and developing automated production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, fault-find and improve automated manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls and PLC faults.
- Support automation projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives and industrial control systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
- Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical and controls/automation knowledge.
- Experience with PLC fault-finding and programming.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications are desirable.
