This role involves designing and implementing software solutions for processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, real-time systems, business management information systems, and applications that process extremely large datasets. What You'll Do * Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements * Design and implement software solutions for processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and large-scale data processing applications * Develop and integrate novel algorithms and software capabilities supporting mission objectives * Work independently and collaboratively as part of an agile software development team * Review, test, and validate software components to ensure compliance with design requirements and quality standards * Document software testing activities and communicate results to project stakeholders * Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects and problem reports * Participate in software design activities, including hardware/software trade-off analyses * Evaluate opportunities for software reuse and integration of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) solutions * Perform requirements analysis and translate system-level requirements into software component designs * Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle using appropriate software engineering methodologies * Collaborate with engineers, mission partners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions What We're Looking For Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university * Active TS/SCI Clearance with a current Maryland Polygraph * Minimum of 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
* Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
* Extensive experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications in enterprise or mission environments
* Experience supporting software development activities across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
* Strong experience with software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
* Experience developing and integrating software components within complex, distributed systems environments
* Experience performing software troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution
* Experience supporting software integration, testing, and validation activities in enterprise-level environments
* Knowledge of software architecture, system interfaces, and application interdependencies
* Experience working with Agile and/or structured software development processes
* Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
