We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a large, complex public sector organisation undergoing significant digital and business transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead business analysis activities on high-profile strategic programmes, working across multiple stakeholders to deliver innovative technology and business solutions.

You'll play a key role in shaping and delivering major business change initiatives, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams while championing best practice business analysis.

The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

• Lead business analysis activities across complex, enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges and opportunities.
• Elicit, analyse and document business, functional, non-functional and data requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear solution proposals and project deliverables.
• Produce feasibility assessments, business cases and options appraisals.
• Support solution design, implementation and systems integration activities.
• Facilitate workshops, process mapping and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Define and support user acceptance testing and business readiness activities.
• Promote and embed Business Analysis best practice across projects and wider teams.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to Business Analysts and contribute to capability development.
• Work alongside project managers, architects, technical teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale digital or IT transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• Excellent requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills.
• Experience producing business cases, process maps, gap analysis and solution options.
• Strong workshop facilitation and business process improvement experience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple complex workstreams.
• Experience working within structured Business Analysis methodologies, ideally BCS.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working across cross-functional technical and business teams.

Desirable

• BCS Business Analysis certification or equivalent.
• Experience within the public sector or similarly complex organisational environments.
• Experience supporting major system implementations, upgrades or digital transformation programmes.
