The Role • Lead system administration for both Linux and Windows-based systems within secure, mission-critical operational environments. • Architect, manage, and maintain complex server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure, including VMware and KVM. • Perform OS installation, configuration, hardening, and patching in strict compliance with DoD STIGs and agency policies. • Proactively monitor and tune system performance, conduct in-depth root cause analysis, and efficiently resolve complex issues. • Oversee and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash. • Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and software development teams to ensure system compliance and optimal performance. What You'll Need • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience. • Active Top Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph. • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP). • Proven experience with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS) and Windows Server platform administration. • Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware and KVM, including their management tools. • Experience with automation and scripting languages including Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
