Business Development Manager - Tree Care | Chicago, IL, United States | On-site

They are seeking an experienced sales professional to join their dedicated Tree Care Division.

The Role

  • Drive sales, marketing, and customer service within a defined territory, managing both selling and non-selling tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with prospective clients through consulting and active listening.
  • Prospect for profitable opportunities in arboriculture and develop annual Plant Health Care Programs.
  • Inspect trees, conduct surveys, and assess tree health using specialist equipment.
  • Prepare professional proposals, estimates, and contractual specifications for tree care programs.
  • Collaborate with and communicate job expectations to arbor crews during on-site meetings.

What You'll Need

  • 2-3 years of experience in tree care, with a strong preference for tree-care sales experience.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of trees, insects, diseases, and the principles of arboriculture and pesticide application.
  • Proficiency in inspecting trees, developing inventories, and conducting surveys.
  • ISA Certification or the ability to obtain it within two years.
  • A clean driver's license and a strong commitment to safety.
