Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Chandigarh. The Business Development Manager will identify and evaluate new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with distributors, dealers, and key accounts, and expand Kapci Coatings' presence in the region. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing competitor activities, developing sales plans, and preparing proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs. The role involves regular customer visits, negotiating commercial terms, and working closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and sustainable growth. The Business Development Manager will also track performance against targets, report on pipeline and forecasts, and recommend strategies to improve market share and profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, key account management, or B2B sales, ideally within paints, coatings, or related industrial sectors.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Solid market research, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities to identify opportunities, evaluate risks, and develop growth plans.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical or product information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
- Comfort working with CRM tools, sales reporting systems, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for pipeline management and performance tracking.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed to meet clients and support business expansion activities.
