Business Analyst with Scrum Master exp and Private Equity Domain-Full time-Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Scrum Master with strong Private Equity / Financial Services domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will combine strong business analysis capabilities with Scrum Master responsibilities and will work closely with senior stakeholders, business sponsors, Product Owners, development teams, and QA teams.

The candidate should be proactive, mature, highly organized, and comfortable translating complex business requirements into actionable user stories and technical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into detailed User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, BRDs, and functional specifications.
• Analyze enhancement requests and determine whether they can be addressed through existing functionality or require new capabilities.
• Work closely with Product Owners and business sponsors to define and prioritize product functionality.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and process walkthroughs.
• Identify process gaps and recommend solutions to simplify and standardize business processes.

Scrum Master Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including:
  • Sprint Planning
  • Daily Stand-ups
  • Sprint Reviews
  • Retrospectives
  • Backlog Refinement
• Track sprint progress, dependencies, risks, and impediments.
• Ensure development teams understand business priorities and user stories.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and technical teams to maintain a healthy product backlog.
• Remove or escalate blockers impacting sprint delivery.
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement.

Private Equity / Financial Services

• Apply strong understanding of Private Equity business processes to analyze requirements and recommend solutions.
• Work with business teams involved in investment, fund, portfolio, and operational processes.
• Translate Private Equity business needs into functional requirements and technology solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with business processes, controls, and organizational standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Interact directly with senior business stakeholders, business sponsors, and Product Owners.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, priorities, and delivery expectations.
• Facilitate meetings and drive discussions toward clear decisions.
• Proactively identify issues and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships between business and technology teams.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or combined BA/Scrum Master.
• Strong Private Equity domain knowledge is mandatory.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Hands-on experience writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong Scrum Master experience in Agile environments.
• Experience working with Product Owners and Business Sponsors.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, particularly with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies and ceremonies.
