Job Description

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring, and security services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex AWS infrastructure, security, networking, identity, access, and performance issues
  • Build, test, validate, and harden AWS systems to meet enterprise security and operational standards
  • Identify cloud infrastructure risks, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and security gaps, then support remediation through completion
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams to investigate issues, determine root causes, and drive resolution
  • Support cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, threat detection, secure configuration, encryption, and compliance controls
  • Configure and manage AWS networking components, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, network access control lists, VPNs, AWS Direct Connect, Route 53, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, reliability, and security posture
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex AWS and cloud infrastructure issues and support senior-level troubleshooting efforts
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating across technical and business teams
  • Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for systems, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, remediation actions, and operational processes
  • Support long-term AWS maturity, cloud adoption, infrastructure improvement, and security-hardening initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS environments
  • Practical experience with core AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and identity, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon VPC, and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Strong troubleshooting and remediation experience within complex enterprise environments
  • Experience working in a large organization with formal security, risk, compliance, change-management, and operational processes
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs, routing, and network security controls
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, preferably including AWS IAM, IAM roles, policies, permission boundaries, and federated access
  • Experience supporting secure cloud configurations, system hardening, access controls, encryption, and cloud risk reduction
  • Ability to investigate issues, test solutions, validate fixes, and drive technical resolution
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across infrastructure, security, application, and leadership team
