Software Engineer

Contract - 6 Months

Location - San Jose, CA

Responsibilities

Write and update core system code: Design and implement features within the client-side telemetry systems and logging frameworks.

Optimize data pipelines: Refine large-scale distributed systems and core backend pipelines to process high-throughput telemetry data efficiently.

Ensure data compliance: Implement data privacy solutions and architectural controls adhering to global requirements like GDPR.

Participate in design and code reviews: Review code developed by team members to guarantee best practices in style, testability, and performance.

Triage and debug: Analyze, track, and resolve system bottlenecks, storage constraints, and performance regressions across the OS platform layer.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience: 2 years of experience with software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages.

Coding Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency with C++ or Python.

Systems Architecture: Practical experience developing core backend infrastructures, logging pipelines, or telemetry solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of operating system internals, data streaming structures, or distributed system resource management.

Privacy Infrastructure: Experience building user trust technologies, including transparency-consent controls or data masking rules.

Scale: Background working with software solutions deployed globally across extensive client-side or device ecosystems.
