Job Description

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Cable & Wiring Specialist III to support our contract at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) GSP TO7 in ATAMMC, Fort Belvoir, VA.

Location: 9300 DeWitt Loop, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060

Position Overview:
  • The Cable and Wiring Specialist III leads and executes the full lifecycle of copper and optical fiber cable infrastructure projects, provides supervision over cable management resources, and maintains comprehensive documentation.
  • This position is subject to SCA Wage Determination 2015-4281.
  • Contract Support Hours: Monday-Friday, 0700-1500

Job Duties:
  • Provide supervision over network cable management resources.
  • Lead cable infrastructure projects from planning to completion.
  • Install, test, terminate, maintain, and troubleshoot all network and data cabling.
  • Perform end-to-end verification of cable plant performance to ensure adherence to industry specifications.
  • Perform and enforce industry-standard cable management in network closets, data centers, and at customer locations.
  • Meticulously record all actions and modifications to maintain accurate cable infrastructure records.
  • Interpret and update complex engineering schematics for building and cable plant infrastructure.
  • Conduct and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all cabling and wiring infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ Years of experience in network cabling and wiring4+ Years of experience demonstrating the required proficiency in network cabling and wiring.
  • Associate of Arts (AD)/Associate of Applied Science (AAS)/Military Training or equivalent.
  • Experience leading cable infrastructure projects and supervising cable management resources.
  • Experience installing, testing, terminating, maintaining, and troubleshooting copper and optical fiber cables.
  • Experience with industry-standard cable management practices in network closets and data centers.
  • Knowledge of cable standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-568) and ability to read and update engineering diagrams for buildings and cable plant.

Required to Start:

Certification Requirements:
  • A current IAT II Certification with ce designation is required to Start.
  • Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) Certification is required to Start

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have or be able obtain a NACLC Public Trust which is required to Start . All personnel must obtain favorable suitability adjudication prior to commencement of duties.
