Job Description

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Web Administrator / Web Developer with strong enterprise web development, CMS administration, and website governance experience. Prior experience working with the State of Texas is required. The candidate will lead website development, maintenance, optimization, accessibility, analytics, and governance initiatives while collaborating with IT, communications, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex website development, redesign, enhancement, and deployment initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and web standards.
  • Administer and enhance enterprise CMS platforms; Kentico experience strongly preferred.
  • Perform advanced website troubleshooting, maintenance, performance optimization, and cross-browser/device testing.
  • Lead SEO, UX, information architecture, accessibility, and website performance improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG, Section 508, web standards, and security best practices.
  • Manage website content, templates, layouts, components, and digital assets.
  • Establish and maintain website governance, content review processes, standards, and workflows.
  • Monitor website analytics, traffic, user behavior, performance, and site speed; provide recommendations based on data.
  • Collaborate with IT/IS teams on web applications, servers, integrations, CMS upgrades, RFPs, and SOWs.
  • Troubleshoot broken links, page errors, search issues, functionality problems, and performance issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to business stakeholders, content owners, and cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
  • 12+ years of experience developing, administering, and/or maintaining enterprise websites.
  • 10+ years leading or overseeing enterprise web initiatives.
  • Prior State of Texas experience is REQUIRED.
  • Strong experience with CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web servers, web accessibility, SEO, UX, analytics, and web troubleshooting.
  • Experience with WCAG/Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Strong communication, project leadership, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Kentico CMS experience.
