Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networking, and network monitoring tools. The candidate should be capable of troubleshooting complex network issues, ensuring high availability, and implementing network security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
- Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routing.
- Configure and support Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or other enterprise networking devices.
- Administer firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and network security policies.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, TCP/IP, and internet connectivity issues.
- Support wireless infrastructure and ensure optimal coverage and performance.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacements.
- Configure and maintain network monitoring and logging tools.
- Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and application teams during deployments and incident resolution.
- Create and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in on-call support and respond to critical network incidents.
Required Skills
- 5–8+ years of experience in Network Administration.
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6
- Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel)
- DNS, DHCP, NAT, SNMP
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Juniper, Aruba, or HP networking equipment.
- Experience managing enterprise firewalls such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, or Check Point.
- Experience configuring VPNs (Site-to-Site and Remote Access).
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or Zabbix.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Python for network automation.
- Understanding of virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP
- Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS
- Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
- Fortinet NSE
- CompTIA Network+
Education
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Nice to Have
Experience in high-availability enterprise environments.
ITIL knowledge.
Experience supporting data center and cloud networking environments.
Exposure to network compliance and security standards.
