Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect to lead the design, optimization, and strategic evolution of our enterprise Identity and Access Management environment. This individual will serve as the technical leader for our mature SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) platform, driving architecture, governance, automation, and process improvements across a predominantly on-premises infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience designing and implementing IAM solutions, developing long-term roadmaps, strengthening security controls, and partnering with business and technical stakeholders to modernize identity governance processes. Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and strategy.
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement of a mature SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) environment.
  • Translate business and security requirements into scalable IAM architecture, implementation plans, and operational processes.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for identity governance, provisioning, authentication, and access management.
  • Improve and automate identity lifecycle management processes, including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) workflows.
  • Optimize role-based access control (RBAC), user provisioning, access requests, and certification processes.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline provisioning, approvals, and governance workflows.
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, compliance, and application teams to strengthen IAM controls.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex identity-related incidents and serve as the highest level of technical escalation when required.
  • Identify security gaps and recommend remediation strategies aligned with IAM best practices.
  • Ensure IAM solutions support regulatory compliance and organizational security requirements.
  • Mentor engineering teams and establish IAM standards, governance, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ).
  • Strong experience designing enterprise IAM architectures and strategic roadmaps.
  • Experience strengthening and managing on-premises IAM environments.
Deep understanding of:
  • Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
  • Identity Lifecycle Management
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • User Provisioning
  • Access Certification
  • Authentication and Authorization
  • Experience automating IAM workflows and operational processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex IAM challenges.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft compliance solutions.
  • Experience implementing or supporting Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Experience with Delinea Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading enterprise IAM transformation initiatives.
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification preferred. Candidates without CISSP who are willing to obtain the certification are encouraged to apply.
