Consultant - Software Engineer

 The client is seeking a software engineering consultant based out of its Kansas City office to support the modernization team.

 This position develops and implements software applications based on business and technical requirements, ensuring that programming code is scalable and meets performance expectations. The role works on problems of diverse scope, where analysis requires evaluating multiple identifiable factors.

 Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:

• Bachelor''s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science or Associates Degree in Applied Science specific to Computer Science, and at least five years related work experience.
• Required experience with Java (Multithreading, Java Software Design Patterns, Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Design.)
• Required experience with and a strong understanding of SQL queries.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Spring
• Experience with Appian
• Experience with AWS development
• Experience with Gitlab / Git
• Strongly prefer experience in test-driven development.
