Software Asset Management Consultant

• Lead Software Asset Management consulting projects for multiple commercial and government customers


• Act as a Consulting SAM Subject Matter Expert for customers and the SAM team


• Deliver SAM consulting services, compliance reviews, effective licensing positions, and commercial and contract advisory services


• Improve customer audit readiness and audit defense posture


• Review software licensing terms, agreements, and contracts to identify breaches and risks


• Apply licensing rules and use rights within SAM consulting services


• Develop, document, and present licensing modelling recommendations


• Lead project and customer contract outcomes


• Develop license reclamation strategies and propose remediation, optimization, cost avoidance, and financial savings activities


• Lead implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of Flexera One


• Perform license reconciliations, consumption analysis, entitlement mapping, and optimization recommendations using Flexera One


• Interpret SAM technology data outputs for accurate and timely reporting


• Liaise with service management and customer teams to define and improve SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans, and controls

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management


• Oracle licensing and compliance expertise


• Experience with software licensing, audit defense, and compliance management


• Experience with Tier 1 Software Publishers including Oracle, IBM, and Microsoft


• Demonstrable hands on experience with Flexera One


• Flexera One experience including installation/configuration, data ingestion, discovery, normalization, inventory reconciliation, and custom reporting


• Ability to lead SAM managed services projects for multiple commercial and government customers


• Independent, proactive, highly skilled, and enthusiastic approach


• Ability to collaborate with SAM and customer management teams to develop and deliver quality solutions
