Security Operations Transformation Lead (ServiceNow) - NYC - Remote - 12 Months contract

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Security Operations Transformation Lead with strong expertise across Security Engineering, SOC Operations, Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and Governance processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ServiceNow and be responsible for leading the migration and transformation of ITSM and security workflows from a legacy ServiceNow environment to a new strategic platform.

This role will act as the bridge between Security, Infrastructure, Risk, and ServiceNow teams, ensuring that operational processes, automations, integrations, and governance workflows are effectively migrated, optimized, and aligned with security objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment, redesign, and migration of security and IT service management workflows to a new ServiceNow platform.
• Partner with Security Engineering, SOC, IAM, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and Risk teams to understand current processes and automation requirements.
• Translate security operational needs into scalable ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and service management capabilities.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and operational efficiency across security functions.
• Oversee workflow mapping, integration dependencies, testing, cutover planning, and post-migration stabilization.
• Act as the primary stakeholder managing relationships between security teams and ServiceNow delivery teams.
• Ensure security controls, audit requirements, and governance processes are appropriately incorporated into the target platform.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, Cybersecurity Transformation, or related leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of SOC operations, incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, cloud security, and security governance.
• Experience leading large-scale security transformation or platform migration initiatives.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, Security Operations (SecOps), workflow automation, and integration capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, program leadership, and business process transformation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Security Operations or ITSM experience.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience driving security automation and operational modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of regulatory, audit, and risk management processes.
