ASAP Overview Our client, a leading organisation within the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Full Stack Frontend Developer to support the delivery of modern digital platforms and customer-facing applications.

This role will focus on building intuitive, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces that support key insurance services, including customer portals, policy management, underwriting workflows, and claims-related journeys.

Working within a cross-functional product team, you'll collaborate closely with backend engineers, architects, UX designers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, data-driven solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Tech Stack<br />Frontend<br />React<br />TypeScript<br />JavaScript (ES6+)<br />HTML5<br />CSS3 Backend Exposure<br />Node.js<br />REST APIs<br />GraphQL Nice to Have<br />Next.js<br />AI integrations (OpenAI, Azure AI, or similar) Essential Skills &amp; Experience<br />Strong commercial experience building enterprise-grade frontend applications using React<br />Advanced JavaScript and TypeScript development skills<br />Solid understanding of responsive design, modern UI development, HTML5, and CSS3<br />Experience developing reusable component libraries and scalable frontend architectures<br />Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party platforms<br />Experience with state management solutions such as Redux or Zustand<br />Strong focus on application performance, accessibility, security, and user experience<br />Experience working in regulated environments such as Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, or FinTech<br />Experience with automated testing frameworks including Jest, Cypress, or Playwright<br />Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines Desirable Skills Experience delivering solutions within the Insurance sector<br />Exposure to policy administration, underwriting, claims, or customer self-service platforms<br />Experience with Next.js<br />Knowledge of Node.js backend development<br />Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities into digital products<br />Cloud experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP<br />Experience working with Storybook and design systems Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable React-based applications supporting key insurance operations<br />Build reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries aligned to design system standards<br />Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver seamless digital customer experiences<br />Integrate frontend applications with policy, claims, and customer data services via APIs<br />Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and engineering best practices<br />Optimise applications for performance, accessibility, scalability, and security<br />Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle
