Role: SAP Finance Lead – AP, AR, GL, AA

Location: Denver, CO – Hybrid (3 Days Onsite/Week)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Lead with strong expertise across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting (AA/FA), Tax, and foundational CO. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAP New GL, with SAP S/4HANA implementation experience preferred.

The candidate will be responsible for translating business and accounting requirements into SAP solutions, leading FICO implementations, managing teams, and providing functional and technical guidance across finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP Finance solutions across GL, AP, AR, AA/FA, Tax, and baseline CO.
• Design and configure SAP New GL and financial organizational structures, including Chart of Accounts.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and scalable SAP solutions.
• Apply strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, multinational finance processes, and enterprise accounting practices.
• Support intercompany transactions, eliminations, financial consolidation, and multi-country finance processes.
• Lead SAP FICO activities across the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.
• Provide functional leadership across multiple SAP Finance workstreams and ensure quality delivery of solutions and deliverables.
• Manage and coordinate onsite/offshore teams and resources, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Mentor team members and provide guidance on SAP Finance technology, architecture, implementation, and delivery practices.
• Partner with business leaders, finance stakeholders, technical teams, and senior/C-level executives.
• Present solution options, recommendations, risks, and different technology approaches to stakeholders.
• Drive knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and adoption of current SAP Finance capabilities and industry trends.
• Troubleshoot complex functional issues and provide practical, business-focused solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI/FICO, including GL, AP, AR, AA/FA, Tax, and baseline CO.
• Strong expertise in SAP New GL.
• Experience designing organizational structures and Chart of Accounts.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP, multinational accounting, intercompany processes, eliminations, and financial consolidation.
• Experience as an FICO Lead on 2–3+ full lifecycle implementations.
• Experience as a Finance sub-module lead on 5–8+ implementations.
• Proven experience managing onsite/offshore teams, resources, and project deliverables.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.
• Experience leading large-scale SAP transformation or consulting engagements.
• Ability to mentor teams, transfer knowledge, and stay current with SAP Finance trends and technology.
