Lead Solution Architect
(Program Architecture Authority / Cross-Vendor Technology Lead)

Role Purpose
  • The Lead Solution Architect will serve as the overall architecture authority for the AIB Core Banking Transformation Program, owning the future-state technology architecture across all platform vendors and ensuring end-to-end solution integrity, scalability, resilience, and execution readiness.
  • This role is responsible for making strategic architecture decisions across core banking, digital channels, payments, card management, middleware integration, security, and infrastructure domains while acting as the primary technical escalation point across all vendor teams.
  • The role requires strong enterprise banking architecture experience and the ability to drive alignment across multiple independent technology partners operating under an aggressive transformation timeline.
 
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
  • Own end-to-end target architecture across:
    • Finastra Essence Core Banking Platform
    • CR2 Digital Banking Platform
    • Oracle Integration Layer (OIC)
    • HPS PowerCARD Card Processing Platform
    • Payment rails and third-party integrations
  • Define architecture principles for future-state banking ecosystem.
Cross Vendor Integration Governance
  • Drive architecture decisions involving:
    • Core banking integration patterns
    • API orchestration architecture
    • Middleware communication framework
    • Data exchange standards
    • Event orchestration patterns
  • Resolve architecture conflicts across vendors.
Architecture Risk Management
  • Identify design risks affecting:
    • Performance, Scalability, High availability, Disaster recovery, Security architecture
Technical Design Authority
  • Chair architecture review boards.
  • Approve cross-system technical designs.
  • Own architecture decision log and design governance.
Required Experience
  • 12+ years enterprise architecture experience
  • 8+ years banking transformation programs
  • Deep knowledge of:
  • Core Banking Systems
  • Digital Banking Platforms
  • Payments Architecture
  • API Architecture
  • Cloud Integration Platforms
  • Enterprise Security Architecture
Ideal Background
  • Large banking transformation programs
