Technical Delivery Manager
Location: Central London (4 days on-site/1 day remote)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum + Annual Bonus
Employment Type: Permanent
Clearance Requirement: Active DV Clearance (Sole UK Nationals only)
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to join a pioneering team working on one of the UK's most significant AI initiatives within the Defence sector.
In this role, you will be pivotal in driving the delivery of mission-critical systems built on a cutting-edge technical stack. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and key stakeholders, you will ensure complex, high-stakes software solutions are delivered predictably, securely, and at pace.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Delivery & Agile Leadership: Lead agile delivery across multiple engineering workstreams, driving sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Architecture & Engineering Alignment: Partner with senior developers and architects to translate complex requirements into actionable technical roadmaps and deliverable epics.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear progress reporting, dependency tracking, and risk management.
Unblocking Engineering: Proactively identify and eliminate technical blockers, delivery bottlenecks, and operational friction to maintain continuous engineering velocity.
Governance & Delivery Assurance: Ensure all delivery aligns with rigorous defence security standards, compliance requirements, and robust software engineering practices.

You will oversee delivery within a high-performing environment utilizing:
Languages & Frameworks: Python, React
Data & Analytics Platforms: Palantir, MongoDB
Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes
What We Are Looking For
Active DV Clearance: Must hold valid Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance and be a Sole UK National due to national security operational requirements.
Proven Delivery Track Record: Solid experience managing end-to-end technical delivery in complex, high-security, or defence-related environments.
Strong Agile Background: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) applied to software engineering and data/AI projects.
Technical Literacy: Comfort conversing at a deep level with software engineers and cloud/data architects working on modern cloud-native architecture (AWS/Azure/K8s/Python).
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical complexity to senior stakeholders clearly.
