Job Description

Enterprise PMO Project Manager | Remote (CA profiles preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end management of IT and software development projects from initiation through completion.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, & project sponsors to drive successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder communications.
  • Provide regular project updates, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project impact.
  • Escalate critical issues and risks appropriately to leadership.

Agile & Waterfall Project Management

  • Manage projects utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Coordinate sprint planning, backlog reviews, project milestones, and release activities as needed.
  • Monitor project execution and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Resource & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
  • Manage project resource allocation and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to project commitments.

Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Maintain project documentation including project charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, & closure documents.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure quality standards and business requirements are met.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience managing IT and software development projects.
  • Proven experience delivering medium-to-large-scale technology initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or other Project Management certifications.
  • Experience working within an Enterprise PMO environment.
  • Experience managing software development, digital transformation, or enterprise technology projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and project governance practices.
