Role Summary
This role involves providing technical support and operational oversight for statewide LAN/WAN networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The successful candidate will monitor network systems, respond to alarms and faults, and maintain detailed records of incidents and support activities. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration within a 24/7 support environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network alarms, alerts, and faults, responding promptly to maintain service uptime.
- Maintain and update records in ServiceNow, including incidents, requests, and resolution details.
- Analyze network data using reports from management systems, databases, and spreadsheets to identify potential issues.
- Initiate trouble reports and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance or technical support teams.
- Participate in shift work, including weekends and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operational support team.
- Support the maintenance and support of voice and data circuits, including troubleshooting and research.
- Assist with configuration management of LAN/WAN networks and related systems.
- Document technical processes and procedures for ongoing network support.
- Collaborate with other technical support personnel to resolve complex network issues.
- Contribute to network performance improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with LAN/WAN maintenance and support.
- At least 1 year of call center or service desk experience, with strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with voice and data circuits, including troubleshooting and research.
- Experience with incident ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Proven skills in systems analysis or service desk support.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Publishing Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
