  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Datadog)
  • Own incident response processes, including on-call rotations, root cause analysis, and post-mortems
  • Champion DevSecOps practices, embedding security throughout the development and deployment lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to align infrastructure with business goals
  • Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform environments
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of automation and operational excellence
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and best practices to improve system reliability and team productivity
  • Manage configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt)
  • Ensure disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering roles
  • Expert-level proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform); multi-cloud experience preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
  • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Advanced scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or ArgoCD)
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration (Linux/Unix)
  • Proven experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience leading incident management and driving operational maturity
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Certified, CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate, etc.)
  • Experience in a regulated industry (finance, healthcare) with compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
  • Prior experience building or leading a DevOps/Platform Engineering team
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
  • Experience with GitOps workflows

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong ownership mentality and accountability
