Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare organization in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced Epic Grand Central / Prelude Consultant to provide hands-on application support and expertise as part of a staff augmentation engagement. The consultant will work closely with the client's Epic team and operational stakeholders to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Epic Grand Central and Prelude workflows and configurations.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Epic Grand Central and Prelude, a solid understanding of patient access and registration workflows, and the ability to quickly integrate into an existing Epic team and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.

This is a 100% remote, 3-month staff augmentation contract with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance. The selected consultant should be available to start ASAP and be prepared to provide hands-on support and expertise from the beginning of the engagement.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Epic Grand Central and Prelude, a solid understanding of patient access and registration workflows, and the ability to quickly integrate into an existing Epic team and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on Epic Grand Central and Prelude application support, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Analyze current workflows and system configurations to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced operational efficiency.
- Work with business and clinical stakeholders to gather requirements, understand operational needs, and translate them into effective Epic solutions.
- Configure and maintain Grand Central and Prelude workflows in accordance with organizational requirements and Epic best practices.
- Support patient access, registration, ADT, scheduling, and related workflows within the Grand Central/Prelude applications.
- Investigate and resolve application issues, configuration defects, workflow challenges, and production support requests.
- Participate in system testing, including unit testing, integrated testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Assist with application enhancements, change requests, and optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with other Epic application teams and technical resources to troubleshoot cross-application and integration-related issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration documentation, workflow specifications, and support procedures.
- Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to the client's internal Epic team as needed.
- Support ongoing production operations and provide timely resolution of application issues.
- Participate in meetings with project stakeholders and provide status updates on assigned activities and deliverables.
- Hands-on experience with Epic Grand Central and Prelude.
- Strong understanding of Epic patient access, registration, ADT, and related workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with Epic application configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and production support.
- Ability to analyze complex workflows and translate business requirements into Epic configuration solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technical, operational, and clinical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote staff augmentation environment and quickly become productive within an existing Epic team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Epic Grand Central and/or Prelude certification.
- Experience supporting Epic implementations, optimization projects, upgrades, or enhancements.
- Experience working in a hospital or large healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with integrations and workflows involving other Epic applications.
- Previous experience providing staff augmentation or consulting services.
