Senior Maintenance Engineer

We're recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at in Mere, Wiltshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of engineering operations across a busy manufacturing site while playing a key role in major re-engineering & new product development projects.

• £40,000-£45,000 per annum
• 39-hour working week
• Opportunity to lead engineering improvements across the site
• Hands-on technical role with genuine variety
• Involvement in major re-engineering & product development projects
• Permanent role based in Mere, Wiltshire

• Carrying out hands-on fault finding, repairs & preventative maintenance on mechanical & electrical equipment
• Diagnosing breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime
• Programming & maintaining industrial machinery
• Supporting major engineering & re-engineering projects across the business
• Improving equipment reliability through continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintaining engineering records, documentation & maintenance procedures
• Supporting new product development alongside the Head of Product

We're looking for an experienced engineer in Mere, Wiltshire who enjoys being hands-on. You'll ideally have:

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
• Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing machinery
• Excellent fault-finding & diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication & organisational skills
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement

It would be advantageous if you have experience with:

• CNC machinery
• PLC programming
• Visual Basic programming
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or PFMEA
• Engineering project management
• Facilities or building maintenance
