Designation: Associate Technical- Network Security
Location: Mumbai, Bangalore
Experience: 2-5 Years
Qualification: BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech
About the role: This role involves keeping our network secure and reliable. Your main focus will be managing and troubleshooting Checkpoint and ASA firewalls, fixing connectivity issues and ensuring systems are updated and protected. You'll work closely with other teams to implement security solutions, document problems and fixes and support continuous improvement of our cybersecurity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Firewall Operations: Manage, maintain and troubleshoot Checkpoint and ASA firewalls, including upgrades, configurations and high availability setups.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and fix connectivity issues, perform root cause analysis and document solutions for future reference.
- Change & Collaboration: Participate in change request meetings, implement approved changes and work closely with other teams to deploy security solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor network security and availability, resolve complex issues under pressure and contribute to ongoing improvements in the cybersecurity environment.
Skills & Experience
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Checkpoint / ASA firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, HA setups).
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (GUI, CLI, TCP dump, packet captures).
- Understanding of VPN technologies and firewall configuration changes.
- Familiarity with incident and change management processes.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis:
- Ability to diagnose complex network issues under time constraints.
- Skilled in documenting root cause analyses and maintaining solution records.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Comfortable working with cross functional teams to implement security solutions.
- Ability to consult with internal and external clients at both technical and business levels.
- Strong documentation and knowledge sharing practices.
