How you'll make an impact
As a Casualty Claims Adjuster, you'll play a key role in managing claims and ensuring effective communication with clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of claims from start to finish, including property, public liability, and employers' liability injury claims.
- Responding to phone calls and email queries within agreed service levels.
- Proactively managing claims to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Assessing policy cover and making prompt, effective decisions.
- Communicating decisions clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Ensuring compliance with Gallagher Bassett procedures and client service level agreements.
- Maintaining accurate and thorough data records and adhering to file management best practices.
- Assisting colleagues with office duties and sharing knowledge to support team development.
About You
- Proven experience handling property claims, public liability, and employers' liability injury claims with a handling authority up to £50,000.
- Previous phone-based customer service experience, ideally within the insurance industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box to resolve issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain decisions clearly.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with case management systems.
- A self-motivated and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
