Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join the finance team of a regulated banking institution in the Netherlands.

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of regulatory and statistical reporting requirements within an evolving regulatory landscape. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring reporting integrity, supporting governance initiatives, assessing the impact of business and system changes, and maintaining a robust control environment.

Working closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and international stakeholders, this role offers broad exposure to regulatory reporting, prudential requirements, and strategic change initiatives.







Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality regulatory and statistical reports to local and European supervisory authorities.
  • Support the production and submission of prudential reporting requirements, including capital, liquidity, and financial reporting returns.
  • Evaluate the regulatory reporting impact of new products, services, transactions, and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions to ensure reporting accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting controls, governance frameworks, policies, and documentation standards.
  • Monitor reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely reporting information.
  • Stay informed of regulatory developments and coordinate the implementation of reporting-related changes.
  • Contribute to broader regulatory change projects and strategic business initiatives.






Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is likely to possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, RA, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Experience within regulatory reporting, prudential reporting, financial reporting, or a related finance function within banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements such as FINREP, COREP, liquidity reporting, or similar prudential submissions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms including AxiomSL, Regnology, OneSumX, or comparable reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data management, reconciliation, and reporting analysis.
  • An understanding of financial products, balance sheet dynamics, and banking operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English language skills; additional European language capabilities would be considered beneficial.
