Technology Specialist Job Type: Permanent Hours: 36 hours per week Salary: £38,220 - £40,777 per annum Location: Newry or Portadown Campus This role is pivotal in enhancing regional economic growth through strategic partnerships and innovative technology solutions. Duties: Lead and deliver innovative business solutions to micro businesses and SMEs, enhancing the Companies role as a primary provider of business support and knowledge transfer. Identify, secure, and manage technical projects and knowledge transfer services, focusing on sectors such as food innovation, product design, lean manufacturing, IT, and tourism. Collaborate with various industry groups and academia to expand the College's capacity to offer relevant support services. Engage in research and development programs, and assist client companies with funding applications for various innovation and development programs. Maintain strong relationships with business clients, conducting audits and reviews to tailor service provisions effectively. Work closely with the Head of Innovation Technology and Economic Engagement and other key stakeholders to align activities with the College's strategic goals. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Digital Technology, or related area). Minimum of 1 year's experience in a relevant industry environment or in providing technical expertise/mentoring to businesses. Proficiency in areas relevant to the specific track (Engineering or Digital), such as product design, software engineering, cloud computing, or e-commerce. Strong ability to plan, organise, and lead projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
