Electrical Design Technician Senior

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Electrical Design Technician Senior for a Hybrid position with a Major Engineering Firm located in Austin, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Portland, OR or Pittsburgh, PA. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

We're looking for a skilled professional who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client's business. Our Drafting/Modeling designers are responsible for the delivery of complex packages in coordination with multi-discipline engineers and design leads. The ideal candidate will be a core member of the Life Safety Systems delivery team.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers
• From 3D BIM models, assist designers with layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security and Intrusion detection systems

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of systems design experience
• Strong Revit skills with 3 to 5 years of recent use
• Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
• Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer's equipment

Desired skills:

• Industrial design experience
• Autodesk Certification Professional (ACP) or other drafting technologies certifications

Pay Range: up to $59.50 per hour
