Customer Operations Agent (1820)

• To support the management team to deliver a cost effective, customer focused check in and disembarkation service to tourist and freight customers booked to travel through the Port of Cairnryan
• To carry out all duties, and to conduct themselves, in line with the P&O Ferries Values and Behaviours
• To ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner.
• To utilise skills and knowledge of Freight and Tourist operations and the business to work effectively
• To be flexible to work across all areas of the Customer Operations Department to meet the demands of the business.
• To assist colleagues in their development of the role

Key Responsibilities and roles:

• ​​To check in and process customers coming through the port
• ​Release and out gate traffic
• ​To provide a high standard of customer service to our customers
• ​To ensure the safety of yourself and others in the port
• ​To report any breaches or suspected breaches of security
• ​Ensure personal behaviour promotes culture change and reflects the values of the business

The ideal candidate will:

• ​​Have customer service experience
• ​Manage to work as part of a team and on their own
• ​Understanding of IT systems such as Microsoft outlook/Teams
• ​​Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
• ​Experience operating within a safety-critical environment.
• ​Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

• Previous experience within ports, shipping, logistics, transport, or ferry operations.
• ​Experience of vehicle marshalling or traffic management.
• ​Experience operating passenger transport vehicles.
