About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of Cambridgeshire County Councils Change portfolio on a fixed term basis until March 2028. Reporting to a Programme Manager, you will play a key role in planning, managing and delivering projects that support the Councils strategic ambitions and deliver meaningful outcomes for residents, services and partners.
This isan important rolewithin theChange and Delivery Service, working collaboratively across services and the wider system to deliver complex projects from initiation through to successful handover and closure. You will use the Councils project management methodologies,standardsand tools to manage plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies,budgetsand reporting.
As Project Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to shape project scope, coordinate resources, support effective governance andmaintainmomentum across delivery. You will provide clear information to programme governance,identifyand escalate delivery risks, and act as a trusted source of project managementexpertisefor colleagues and partners.

About youYou will be an experienced project manager with a strong understanding of project and change management methodologies, tools and techniques, and the ability to apply these in a complex organisational environment. You will bring proven experience of managing projects from initiation through to delivery, c oordinating resources, risk management, budget monitoring and delivering sustainable service improvements.
You will be confident working across organisational boundaries, able to build strong professional relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders. You will be comfortable analysing complex information, translating ideas into practical plans, andprovidingclear advice and reporting to support good decision making.
You will have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, with high standards of accuracy and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will be resilient, collaborative and proactive, with the confidence to constructively challenge, hold others to account and support colleagues to deliver their best.
