The Role • Operate heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate container moves and task assignments with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment according to established protocols. • Drive specialized yard equipment to position containers and chassis. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing stairs/ladders. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts and weekends. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
