AMS is a global workforce solutions partner committed to creating inclusive, dynamic, and future-ready workplaces. We help organisations adapt, grow, and thrive in an ever-evolving world by building, shaping, and optimising diverse talent strategies.

We partner with Arup to support their contingent recruitment processes. Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.

On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Business Change Manager for an initial 6 month contract. Based in London, hybrid with 2 days per week required on-site.

Purpose of the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Change Manager to support a significant EIMEA Integration programme. You'll lead the hands-on delivery of change across a large-scale regional transformation, helping impacted teams and stakeholders successfully transition to new ways of working. Working closely with senior leadership and programme teams, you'll combine strategic change expertise with practical delivery, ensuring the integration is effectively embedded while aligning with a wider Target Operating Model transformation.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and hands-on delivery of the change strategy and plan for the EIMEA Integration programme.
  • Deliver change impact assessments, readiness reviews and adoption planning across impacted teams and regions.
  • Translate strategic objectives into practical change activities, deliverables and measurable outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, providing guidance and influencing decisions throughout the transformation.
  • Facilitate workshops, leadership briefings and feedback sessions to identify risks, address concerns and build readiness for change.
  • Work closely with programme, project, People and Internal Communications teams to ensure change activity remains aligned with wider programme delivery.
  • Provide direction on change communications, ensuring messaging and engagement activity effectively supports impacted audiences.
  • Understand and manage dependencies between the EIMEA Integration and wider Target Operating Model transformation.
  • Identify and manage change risks, resistance and dependencies while maintaining momentum within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Define and track adoption measures and readiness indicators to support successful and sustainable change.

The Skills you'll need

  • Significant experience operating at Senior Change Manager or Change Lead level within complex organisational transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience delivering large-scale integration programmes, ideally across regional, international or enterprise-wide environments.
  • Experience working with Target Operating Models and understanding how organisational change aligns with operating model transformation.
  • Strong hands-on change delivery experience, with the ability to combine strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and gravitas to influence senior leaders and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience delivering change impact assessments, business readiness, adoption planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong change communications experience, including translating programme impacts into effective communication and engagement requirements.
  • Experience working across geographically dispersed teams and complex organisational structures.
  • Confidence operating independently within ambiguity, changing priorities and fast-paced transformation environments.
  • Experience applying recognised change management methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter or APMG, with the ability to quickly adapt to an organisation-specific change framework.
  • Change management certification or equivalent professional experience would be highly advantageous.
