Job Description

HR Business Partner - Learning & Development
A global, high-growth financial services business is looking for an HR Business Partner to split their time roughly 60/40 between HR business partnering and learning & development - acting as the go-to HR contact for managers and employees, while also owning the L&D agenda for the business.
This is a genuinely blended role rather than an L&D specialist role with a bit of HR bolted on. The majority of your time will be spent business partnering: advising managers, working through employee relations matters, and supporting the people side of a performance-driven, highly regulated environment. Alongside that, you'll run training needs analysis, manage relationships with third-party training providers, and work closely with line managers to embed performance management and development into day-to-day people practice.
HR Business Partnering (~60%)
• Acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees on people-related matters
• Managing employee relations casework in line with employment legislation and company policy
• Coaching and supporting line managers on performance management, development conversations and career progression
• Supporting recruitment and selection activity where required
• Contributing to policy development and continuous improvement of HR processes
• Analysing HR data and producing reports for the business
• Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
• Supporting succession planning, talent management and internal mobility
• Ensuring HR practice reflects the organisation's values and promotes an inclusive workplace

Learning & Development (~40%)
• Running organisation-wide training needs analysis in consultation with leaders and employees
• Designing, procuring and delivering technical, professional and behavioural learning programmes
• Managing relationships with third-party training providers and learning consultants
• Evaluating the effectiveness and ROI of learning interventions
• Partnering with HR Operations on induction and onboarding for new starters
• Owning the HRIS training module, ensuring accurate records and reporting
• Working with Compliance and Risk to ensure mandatory regulatory training is delivered on schedule
• Developing leadership and management development programmes
• Supporting employees pursuing professional qualifications

What you'll need:
• Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification
• Proven experience in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Learning & Development role
• Experience designing and implementing learning strategies
• Previous experience within financial services
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation/training delivery skills
• Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• An analytical approach, confident interpreting HR data
• Commercial awareness and HR business partnering capability
• High level of integrity and discretion, with strong stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
• Degree or CIPD Level 7 qualification, or equivalent professional qualification

If you're an HR generalist who wants to keep one foot firmly in business partnering while still owning a genuine L&D remit, we'd like to hear from you.
