Job Description

We are seeking an Portal Developer to join our team supporting multiple Texas Medicaid systems. The role will focus on analysis, design, coding, and testing of application components across Claims, Provider, PCCM, Portal, and BTO systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C# .NET and SQL Server development and a proven ability to deliver maintainable solutions for complex, integrated healthcare environments.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, code, and test application components for Texas Medicaid systems, including Claims, Provider, PCCM, Portal, and BTO.


• Perform maintenance, enhancement, and development of modules and integrations with interfacing applications.


• Develop and optimize solutions using C# .NET and SQL Server, adhering to coding standards and quality practices.


• Support deployment activities for production releases and introduction of new services into the production environment.


• Participate in pager and on-call production support, including triage, root cause analysis, and remediation.


• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams with limited client interaction to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery.


• Create and maintain technical documentation for designs, code changes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in application maintenance and/or development.


• 1+ years of hands-on C# .NET development.


• 1+ years of SQL Server development, including T-SQL and performance tuning fundamentals.


• Ability to analyze requirements, estimate work, and deliver to committed timelines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Texas Medicaid or comparable healthcare or claims processing domains.


• Background with web development, web services, SharePoint, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).


• Experience providing production on-call support and incident response.


• 1+ years of experience in VB6 development.


• Bachelor's degree preferred.
