Cloud Architect Hybrid working (1 day per 3 months in the office) Azure , Azure DevOps, Docker, Terraform, Bash, Packer, Ansible About the Role<br />We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Azure Cloud Architect to play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure that underpins our high-stakes, high-volume SaaS products.<br />In this role, you’ll drive the design of robust, scalable, and secure Azure-based architectures, ensuring our platforms meet the highest standards of performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.

You’ll work closely with Product Architects and engineering teams to turn complex concepts into practical, world-class infrastructure solutions.<br />This is an opportunity to influence architectural direction, champion best practices, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our cloud platform strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing<br />Azure Architecture &amp; Design Lead the design of secure, performant, and supportable Azure infrastructure architectures<br />Contribute to and evolve reference architectures and reusable design patterns<br />Translate business and product requirements into scalable and resilient technical solutions<br />Embed observability, resilience, and security by design Technical Leadership Collaborate closely with Product Architects to shape and challenge design decisions<br />Provide expert guidance to ensure solutions are robust, cost-effective, and supportable<br />Ensure architectural consistency and alignment with best practice Cloud &amp; Platform Engineering Design cloud-native solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including AKS and distributed application platforms<br />Ensure designs are scalable, highly available, and cost-optimised<br />Enable strong cost governance and reporting capabilities Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering teams, development leads, and technical architects<br />Ensure infrastructure changes align with standards, processes, and a customer-first mindset<br />Support project teams through the full lifecycle, from design through to delivery Continuous Improvement Drive adoption of modern infrastructure tooling and automation practices<br />Influence and improve architectural standards and ways of working<br />Share knowledge and mentor others within the team What We’re Looking For<br />Experience &amp; Expertise Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including AKS and distributed systems<br />Strong understanding of security, IAM, networking, and database architecture<br />Proven experience designing and troubleshooting complex, distributed systems<br />Experience supporting high-scale SaaS platforms in production environments Technical Skills Hands-on experience with tools such as:
