The Role • Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard. • Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container management. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety compliance. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistics and tasks. • Uphold safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. • Availability for 2nd or 3rd shift operations.
