Job Description
KForce is seeking an experienced Epic Security Coordinator for a remote Contract-to-Hire opportunity supporting Luminis Health. This position is responsible for administering and coordinating Epic security, access management, security templates, EMP/SER records, role-based access controls, audits, and identity governance across the Epic EMR environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on Epic Security experience within a healthcare environment and possess strong knowledge of HIPAA, access management, and Epic security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Administer Epic Security, security templates, EMP and SER records.
- Process Epic access requests while meeting established SLAs.
- Troubleshoot Epic security issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Support role-based access control (RBAC), identity governance, audits, and risk assessments.
- Design, build, test, and maintain Epic security templates.
- Participate in Epic upgrades, testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Develop dashboards and security metrics for leadership.
- Collaborate with HR, Medical Staff Office, IT, Clinical teams, and hospital operations.
- Improve Epic security workflows through automation and process optimization.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent access requests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of Epic Security, Healthcare IT, or Identity & Access Management experience.
- Experience supporting Epic EMR security administration.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Epic Security
- EMP Records
- SER Records
- Security Templates
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- HIPAA Compliance
- IT Access Controls
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and end-user support experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic Security Proficiency or Certification.
- Epic Certification in at least one Epic application (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Experience with security audits, reporting, dashboards, and process automation.
