Linux Administrator / Linux Engineer A London-based Higher Education institution is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator / Linux Engineer to join a critical project focused on improving the management and security of its Linux estate.

Working alongside an established project team, you will play a key role in securing and onboarding Linux devices into a managed endpoint security service. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Linux professional with strong security awareness and experience managing enterprise Linux environments.

The role will cover Deploying and configuring Microsoft Defender for Endpoint across Linux devices.<br />Onboarding and managing Linux endpoints within Microsoft Intune.<br />Supporting the implementation of a managed endpoint security service.<br />Implementing Linux security controls, compliance standards and best practices.<br />Troubleshooting and resolving Linux endpoint and security-related issues.<br />Producing technical documentation, deployment guides and operational procedures.<br />Working closely with project stakeholders to ensure all Linux devices are successfully protected and onboarded within project timelines.

Desirable Skills &amp; Experience Strong Linux endpoint management experience<br />Hands-on experience deploying Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)<br />Experience onboarding Linux devices into Microsoft Intune<br />Linux security and endpoint protection expertise<br />Ability to create technical documentation and deployment processes Contract Details Initial 2-month contract<br />Strong likelihood of extension subject to project requirements<br />Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite in London<br />£450 - outside IR35 Please click to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
