About Us

SBA Home North Carolina - The first production facility in the USA by SBA Group, a furniture manufacturer from EU member in Lithuania, with operations started in late 2025. Over 250 talented professionals will work here and build their careers. It will be a highly robotic and automated factory with products reaching millions of homes in the US. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Davie County, NC. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of maintenance operations. This individual will oversee mechanical equipment maintenance alongside a team of Mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Maintenance operations, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient functioning of production equipment.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on highly automated manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, chain and belt drives, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drilling units, press and vacuum mechanisms and other mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures to minimize production downtime and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnose equipment problems, identify root causes, and implement effective mechanical repairs and corrective actions.
  • Inspect, adjust, align, lubricate, and replace mechanical components, including bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, rollers, gears, seals, shafts, and couplings.
  • Perform machine alignment, leveling, tensioning, adjustment, and calibration to maintain equipment accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Support robotic and automated production cells by troubleshooting mechanical components, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Monitor machine reliability, equipment condition, downtime, and maintenance KPIs.
  • Support optimization of machine availability, reliability, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules, with a focus on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and safety systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, mechanical performance, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and work orders within the SAP maintenance system.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Automation teams to resolve equipment issues and implement equipment and process improvements.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, equipment requirements, and applicable mechanical safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment. Mentor team of Shift Mechanics.

  • Associate degree, technical degree, or vocational training in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of Mechanical Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (woodworking industry experience preferred).
  • Experience maintaining HOMAG, BÜRKLE, or similar automated production equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, including bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, chains, belts, drives, shafts, and mechanical power transmission, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using CMMS or SAP maintenance systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple maintenance activities and equipment issues.
  • Ability to work independently, respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
