The Role • Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks. • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and ensure timely freight movement. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. • Contribute to the efficient and accurate handling of containers, keeping the supply chain moving. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Open availability for flexible scheduling, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
