Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Rate: $45/hr on W2

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to support Phase 3 enhancements within an SAP S/4HANA environment. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying ABAP-based solutions, including custom interfaces, workflows, procurement enhancements, reports, forms, and integrations with external platforms such as GEP.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, strong S/4HANA expertise, and a solid understanding of procurement and financial business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop SAP S/4HANA enhancements, custom programs, reports, forms, and workflows.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external applications, including GEP.
• Enhance procurement, invoicing, Accounts Payable, and supply chain processes using BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Develop OData services, REST APIs, RFCs, and BAPIs for system integration and reporting.
• Develop and maintain CDS Views for analytics, reporting, and Fiori applications.
• Create and modify Adobe Forms, SmartForms, and SAPscript outputs.
• Perform code reviews and create technical design and development documentation.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-go-live support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote SAP development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in ABAP/ABAP OO.
• Experience with CDS Views, ABAP Dictionary, and Open SQL.
• Strong experience with OData Services, REST APIs, RFCs, and BAPIs.
• Hands-on experience with Enhancement Framework, BADIs, User Exits, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements.
• Experience with Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPscript, and ALV Reports.
• Experience with SAP Workflow, preferably SWDD.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration and development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP MM, FI/AP, Procurement, or P2P processes.
• Previous experience in an SAP procurement or P2P implementation program.
• Familiarity with GEP SMART or similar procurement platforms.
• SAP ABAP or S/4HANA development certification.
• Experience supporting complete SIT and UAT cycles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
